WHO WE ARE

Our Story

Our own experiences as leaders and followers is the inspiration behind Few Group LLC.  We have worked for great leader and well-intentioned leaders who struggled to make a positive difference.  We have also worked for leaders who had detrimental effects on their company and followers.  When we have served as leaders, we have experienced the challenges of becoming an effective leader.

At the core, we understand that leadership brings a significant weight of responsibility.  Those in leadership positions often see themselves as stewards or fiduciaries where they feel a heightened sense of responsibility beyond their own personal goals.  For employers, they often feel the weight of responsibility for the maintaining company’s financial viability.  Tangentially, the health of organization can directly impact employees who are dependent upon the organization to pay their mortgages, put their kids through college, etc.  For customers, they may feel a sense of responsibility for producing a product that solves real problems for real people.  Personally, leaders also feel the weight of being loyal to their families and securing their financial future.

The significance of these responsibilities is at the core of what makes becoming an effective leader so difficult.  Leaders are tasked with making high risk decisions often with limited information.  They bear primary responsibility for solving the organization’s most difficult problems.  They play a pivotal role in charting the organization’s future direction, which often entails challenging the status quo in order to bring positive change.  More often, leaders often feel the pain of loneliness or a lack of support as they have to deal with this weight of responsibility by themselves.  In other words, leaders often find themselves in situations where they need someone to serve as a sounding board as they talk through an issue.  Unfortunately, they often find themselves in situation where they have no one they can turn to.

We have felt the burden of responsibility and have faced the challenges that all leaders face.  This experience serves and the impetus and motivation behind all that we do.
