WHAT WE DO

Each new client engagement begins with an in-depth conversation to determine if an engagement makes sense.  While most of our competitors are interested in “selling” you their services, we are interested in understanding the engagement’s return on investment (ROI).  Studies have demonstrated that coaching often yields 5 to 10 times ROI on the client’s investment of time and money; ideally, we won’t take on an engagement unless we believe (and the client believes) that there is such potential.  During this part of our process, we spend time understanding your situation, what the problem is, what it is costing you, what would be possible if you solved the problem.  In our experience, understanding the significance of the problem or situation the client is facing is a key determinant of the engagement being a success.  Accordingly, we strive to not take on clients who don’t meet the 5 to 10 times ROI threshold.  In addition to ROI, we will also talk about the scope/focus of the engagement, expected deliverables and goals, budget/costs, coaching plan and any other elements that would need to be included in a proposal.

Once everything is finalized, we begin to work with our clients on at three step process:

STEP 1 Assessment:

While we often have an understanding of the client’s situation at this point, we usually need to gather more information.  Accordingly, this step may involve further discussion with the client to surface her/his view of the problem/situation, the client completes a personal assessment, administering an internal survey, performing focus groups and interviews, etc.  Overall, our main goal is to gather more information regarding the situation and problem.

STEP 2 Plan:

The coaching plan is driven by the insights and observations surfaced during the assessment phase.  The main objective at this stage is to gain agreement on measurable objectives, key milestones, approach or activities, timeline, etc. By the end of this step we should have a plan designed to achieve the client’s objectives.

STEP 3 Execute:

With the plan in place the next step is to execute the plan.  During this part of the process we are evaluating if the plan is working and if not, what adjustments or corrections need to be made in order to assure results.  Thus, as events unfold, we may need to perform additional assessments or re-evaluate and reformulate the plan.

Using this process as a base, we have developed several CoreSolutions.
